OUTDOOR ADVENTURE Camp

This camp offers an opportunity to learn more about the outdoors through hiking and adventuring. We hike, investigate bugs and plants, climb trees, discuss the land around us, play games, and learn how to connect with nature. Each hike is geared toward the students at the camp, so all ability levels will be considered. Each day is filled with fun activities that engage little ones and are exciting and educational all at once. Our students go home from this camp a little more knowledgeable about nature and the environment, a little more comfortable in the outdoor world, and definitely a little dirtier than when they came.

Example of a day at camp:

• Welcome, nature craft, play time

• Story, discussion, introduction to theme of the day (pollinators, native plants, local indigenous people, ecosystems, etc)

• Walk

• Snack and play time

• Project time (connected to theme of the day)

  • Making animal sculptures, weaving natural materials, rope making, making models of bees to explore how they pollinate, making mud, building animal homes, etc

• Lunch and play time

• Walk

• Group games

• Nature mindfulness- time to be still, observe, and be present in our beautiful space

• Walk back to pick up spot

• Nature journal/art- draw, paint, etc in nature journals experiences from the day

• Pick up

What to Bring:

Bring a water bottle to each class, and dress in appropriate clothing and shoes.

We offer high quality camps run by very experienced guides, but it does cost quite a bit to be able to host them.  

Cost covers supplies/materials, website and transaction fees, preparation, staff hourly payment for prep and camp hours, mentor payment and preparation hours, insurance, space fees, and more. We appreciate you recognizing that you are investing into your child's experience, as well as into a small, woman-owned and run business that brings years of experience to your children. We put quality over quantity ALWAYS, so that the experience of the students is exceptional.
